Background Eye, the Sunday supplement of Indian Express, was created to carry relaxed weekend reading, with lifestyle, books, arts and technology. The need was to create a relaxed ambience, distinct from the paper's Sunday edition.
Design The new design selects headline typefaces that shift the reader's expectation from news to leisure, while remaining appropriate for literature, technology and cultural subjects. The masthead in lower case gives the brand an intimate and friendly identity. The same approach extends to the clear, bold navigation elements on the top of each page, with the same result.
